A cloudy start with a band of rain soon crossing the island, followed by improving conditions as we see clearer air moving in from the west with sunny spells, occasional cloud and just the odd rogue shower. Temperature 11-13°C Wind west-southwest 14-24mph quickly becoming northwest 18-32mph

TONIGHT

Long clear spells overnight and becoming cold with a localised frost in places. Temperature 2-4°C but a few sheltered rural spots down to 0°C Wind northwest 11-19mph becoming 5-11mph

TOMORROW

A fine, sunny day with only small amount of cloud about. It will feel quite fresh in the breeze and out of the sun, but generally rather pleasant on the whole. Temperature 9-11°C Wind northwest 5-9mph becoming west-southwest 12-22mph during the afternoon
