Cloud and patchy rain at first before a band of much heavier rain arrives from the northwest, culminating in a short spell of very heavy and squally rain with the risk of hail during the early afternoon with the rain gradually easing thereafter. Very windy but the wind easing and changing direction during the passage of the heaviest rain. Temperature 11-12°C but dropping quickly to 6-8°C around early afternoon Wind 34-56mph becoming 36-65mph with gusts as high as 70mph in the west and south, veering abruptly to northwest 14-26mph by early afternoon then settling into the west at around 18-32mph by evening Rainfall 12-16mm with localised variations
