Morning update - Frosty then fine today, cloudy with rain later tomorrow

TODAY

A fine and sunny day with ice and frost lingering all day in a few areas sheltered from the sun. Towards the end of the day we will see some high, thin cloud pushing in from the southwest. Temperature 3-4°C Wind northwest 4-8mph

TONIGHT

Turning cold and frosty again but perhaps not as cold as last night due to a layer of cloud thickening up and preventing the temperatures from falling too far. Towards dawn there is the small chance of the odd wintry shower moving in from the channel. Temperature -2 to 0°C at first but rising later in the night, as high as 5-6°C around windward coasts Wind variable 0-4mph becoming south later

TOMORROW

A cloudy and cold feeling day with a freshening breeze. As we move into the evening we will see rain arriving, preceded by some sleet over high ground and towards the north and west of the island. Temperature 4-5°C but as high as 7°C in the east and south Wind south-southeast 8-12mph becoming southeast 14-25mph by the end of the day
