Morning update - Cold and sunny today, cloud with patchy rain or sleet tomorrow



TODAY

A cold but fine day with long sunny spells. Temperatures falling quickly this evening. Temperature 3-4°C but perhaps as high as 5-6°C along west facing coasts

Wind northwest 6-14mph becoming west-northwest 12-22mph



TONIGHT

A cold start to the night with a frost quickly developing, although as the night goes on we will begin to see some high, thin cloud streaming in from the southwest, gradually thickening up as time goes on although staying dry. Temperature -2°C to 0°C widely but rising to 2-4°C by dawn and as high as 6-7°C close to eastern and southern coasts

Wind west-northwest 5-11mph becoming north then east 2-6mph but increasing again towards the end of the night from the east



TOMORROW

A mostly cloudy day with the risk of some patchy rain and sleet along with hill snow occasionally affecting the island. Temperature 3-4°C Wind east-northeast 7-11mph becoming 12-21mph by midday
