Morning update - Cloudy and cold today, frost then sun tomorrow
TODAY
A cold and rather cloudy day with the risk of a few wintry showers of rain, hail or sleet just clipping the island from the south, although many places staying dry. Later in the day the cloud may well begin to break here and there. Temperature 3-4°C but a few spots seeing 5°C, especially around windward coasts Wind east-northeast 8-14mph becoming 10-18mph
Rainfall 0-2mm with localised rainfall possible
TONIGHT
The cloud will continue to slowly break and this will allow for a widespread frost to develop across the island, perhaps with a few localised fog or freezing fog patches too. Temperature -4°C to 0°C with localised variations although closer to 2-3°C around windward coasts Wind north to northeast 4-9mph but 1-4mph inland
TOMORROW
A fine but cold day ahead with long sunny spells developing after a very frosty and partly cloudy start to the day. The frost will remain in some parts all day and reforming again by sunset. Temperature 2-4°C Wind northeast 4-8mph
