Morning update - Cloud with the odd shower today, showery tomorrow

TODAY

A lot of cloud during the morning with an increasing risk of the odd patch of showery rain. During the afternoon we will see some brighter spells developing but also further showers that may well be rather heavy locally with the risk of hail mixed in and even a little sleet later in the day. Temperature 7-8°C Wind north-northwest 8-14mph becoming north later

Rainfall 0-1mm with localised rainfall possible

TONIGHT

A cold night with a mixture of cloud and just occasional clear spells, but where any clear spells linger we will see a frost developing. Temperature 0-2°C

TOMORROW

Another chilly day ahead with plenty of cloud about, but a few sunny spells will develop at times along with a scattering of showers, likely more frequent than on Wednesday, again with the risk of hail and also the odd wintry one with sleet mixed in. Temperature 6-7°C Wind north 12-18mph becoming 14-22mph
