Morning update - Cloud and occasional brightness today and tomorrow

TODAY

Not a terrible day across the island with a mixture of cloud but also a few sunny spells developing from time to time. We may see a little coastal mist/haze in the east and south for a time but a distinct lack of that low cloud, drizzle and murk that we have seen over the last few days. Temperature 7-8°C

Wind variable 0-3mph becoming southeast 7-12mph later

TONIGHT

Much the same conditions overnight with a mixture of cloud and occasional clear spells. We may see the odd mist patch towards northern and northwestern parts of the island but as a whole it will be a fine night. Where any clear spells develop we may also see a touch of frost. Temperature 3-5°C in general but as low as 0°C if/when any clear spells develop, although staying closer to 6-7°C around western, southern and eastern coasts Wind south-southeast 4-8mph but variable 0-3mph inland

TOMORROW

Another day of cloud with occasional breaks which will allow for some brief sunny spells from time to time. Temperature 6-7°C Wind south-southeast 5-9mph
